I've mentioned empowering our people and the fact that creativity has become one of the most sought after skills in the business world. How can we unleash our people's creativity and therefore empower them to achieve new heights of success?



I believe the quote above speaks more to creativity then any definition could.  When we unleash our people to create their own processes and paths to achieve the end result, I believe we will see true process improvement. We must not let our own egos get in the way. Often times as Leaders we have the, "My way or the highway" mentality. We drive people to results, not lead them there.

Now granted, there are those that work with us that would rather be told what and how to do things. I believe they are the minority and there is a place for them as well. The next generation of Leaders will be those that we mentor today and allow them the freedom to strike out into unexplored territory. This is where we will find new and exciting ways to create our business and engage our customers.


Sure, there will be some failures and loss. But I think that this is a time to show them that risk is something to be mindful of, not feared. Too many times we get locked down by fear. We want to do what is comfortable, what has been successful in the past. The phrase, "If it's not broke, don't fix it" becomes our mantra and it can lead to never finding out what could have been.


With every passing day we have developments in the way we as Leaders and society interact. We need people who can engage people where they are. Unleashing their creativity is where we will find the answers to tomorrows questions and challenges. While also creating empowered, creative and happy workers.

Which in turn creates:

• Passion 
• Awareness
• Morale
• Productivity
